Seed Bombs are a fun and simple activity for people who like to get their hands dirty! In this workshop, we’ll go over the basic seed bomb recipe, talk about the kinds of seeds we want to include, and appropriate places to “plant” your bombs! Seed bombs make great gifts and are fun to throw into road sides, abandoned areas and even home gardens! We’ll use a variety of seeds in hopes of spreading diversity in the ecosystem, and talk about the kinds of plants and flowers that we can spread to support our pollinators too!
Directions: From Eureka, take CA-255 N over the Samoa Bridge and turn left onto New Navy Base Rd. Continue to New Navy Base Rd for approximately 4 miles. Oyster Beach is on your left (look for a wooden fence and an open gate). Turn left to drive through the gate and follow the gravel road straight towards the water. There will be event signage. If raining, event will take place in Hangar at the HBSC across the road.
