Come out and get some healthy ideas and recipes plus an introduction to CANNING from our friends at the Northcoast Co Op…this class is free and open to the public. 6:00-7:30 in the Eureka Co Op Community Kitchen

Please join our Master Food Preserver volunteers at the Eureka Co-op in a celebration of green week.  You will get to participate in a hands-on demonstration highlighting one of springs’ most delicious green vegetables: asparagus!  This demo is a basic introduction to safe water bath canning techniques.  Our volunteers will demonstrate equipment and research based methods for preserving food safely at home.  You will receive a handout on water bath basics, preparing and canning pickled asparagus plus additional recipes for you to try at home.
